Gesminus

We made Gesminus this evening at home.
It's a typical sardinian sweet, very similar to meringues, so it's very easy to make. The difference is that they're full of almonds and the recipe requires orange flower water.
I read that their name derives from the jasmine: in the past they used the jasemine's essence to confection them, then replaced with the orange flower water.
This is the photo of the magazine in which we found the recipe:

And this is our result, as you can see I made a little variation >:D

Oh so yummy!! :D

In my room.. (again!)

I joined this swap called just "In My Room.. (Again!)" days ago because I thought it'd be fun to take a peek in other people's rooms. Not in a nosey way though, more like I'm curious to see where other people in the world spend their time.

"you'll take at least 5 photos of your bedroom - big picture, little details, the monster under your bed, messy, clean, whatever! just show off your bedroom space"

So I took "some" photos around my room and this is what I sent to my partners:

I love my yellow walls! In the afternoon the sunlight enters in my room and everything turn orange! It's so beautiful and very Mediterranean XD

Plans..

Vacation really are over, aren't they?
This year they flew away more quickly than usual.
I've not done anything special actually, I stayed home most of the time, but I had lots of fun this last week at the sea (I got so tunned that my mum didn't recognize me when I jumped off the train XD ).
And while laying sprawled on the sand I thought about a lot of things and I kinda made plans for the new year (being a uni-student the year for me begins with the start of the academic year XD ).
I seriously hate to make plans cause I never respect them. Maybe if I make them public it'll get better? Aaah dunno, I just hope to find the right motivation (and the time) to do everything!
To the "to-do-list":

  • Take the fucking driving licence
  • Pass the FCE exam (without attending classes though, they cost 800€ WTH!!)
  • Do the training course to become a scout educator (I'll meet the group's coordinator next week :D)
  • Finally fly to London, get a job and spend the summer there (suggestions are very welcomed here XD )
  • I'm reading "Memoirs of a geisha" at the moment and it's so beautiful that reminded me how much I love reading. During the year with exams, classes and all I'm able to read just a couple of novels, so I want to promise to myself that I'll turn off the pc earlier in the evening and go to bed with a book. And the same apply to movies (the responsible in this case is "Train de vie" (="Train for life")). Again, reccomendations are very welcomed XD
  • And last, but not least, I'd like to do more crafts and swap!

Talking about swap.. I was thinking about making a new comm to gather all the people interested in swapping handmade (or not) J.rock related stuff.
I already know two comms that organize swaps, but one is just GazettE related, the other has nothing to do with J.rock.
If anyone is interested I'd get it started! I'll try to post the idea around and we'll see..

That's all for now, wish me good luck XD

T-shirts reconstructions

Here I'm to share some reconstructions I made this summer. I tried for the very first time and even if they're not perfect, I'm kinda proud :D
So let's start with my favourite!

I had this huge Coexist t-shirt. I loved it but it was definitely too big for me. Rummaging in my closet I found this black top, cute but a bit boring D:

It's math people: loved huge t-shirt + plain, cute top = loved top!!

I simply cut the writing and sewed it on the front of my top. I had this little peace sign charm so I tied a little bit of ribbon around it and sewed it in place.
And I was done! :D

To the second recon now!
I loved the colour and the neckline of the orange t-shirt but the written was terrible. On the other end, I loved the design of the white t-shirt but it was old and worn.

So I used pretty much the same proceeding as before: cut the interesting part of the white t-shirt and sewed it on the orange one to cover the written. I also added orange ribbon to decorate and cover the white pepper (that you can still see poking out in that pic xD )

Last, but not least am even more simple recon: black t-shirt, a pink top underneath and a pair of scissor. Not difficult to imagine how I did it xD

So, what do you think? Is it a good start? :D

I want to do it again!!

Soooo I really had great time last 2 weeks, I did so many things.
"But in order: I spent Easter holiday with my family, as usual. We didn’t do anything special since the time we spent in Torre del Greco was rather short, but when we came back home I brought back someone :D You know, in the same apartment building in which lives my grandma, at the upper floor lives a girl called Maria Lucia. She’s my best friend since childhood. Our mothers were schoolmates and friends too and we’re keeping the tradition alive.

The only bad thing is that she lives in Torre del Greco and I moved away from there when I was 3, but we’re still friends despite of the distances and the long time. At the beginning we sent each other letters and I’d see her just during holidays, when I went to visit my grandma, then, luckily, we discovered msn!! It’s much more simple to keep in touch now. We talk everyday. In addiction, since my dad is living at my grandma’s place now, I see her a lot more often than ever before.

Anyway this year she found some free time to come to Reggio with me. It’s the second time she comes here, last time though (2 years ago) she’d spend just few days so we’d not do that much. This year instead she’d spent 10 days at my place and we had so much fun!!

The firsts two days we had to stay at home cause I had a French exam, so I had to study a bit, but in the weekend I took her to Bologna. There is a huge street market called Montagnola (it means “little mountain”, it’s called like that ‘cause all the stalls are on a knoll) and we went to do some shopping. It’s a cool place cause there are a lot of strange things, you know like metal clothes, visual stuff and such. Personally I dun wear them, but sometimes I find some cute things that suits my style. We had a walk through the city and then we came back home.

Other funny things we did during the week.. hum.. well, we went to eat to an Asian restaurant. I love Asian food, but especially Japanese dishes that are rather expensive! Buuut we found our heaven when we discovered a restaurant that has a buffet, and you can eat whatever you want with 10€. We were so happy (and so full when we came back home XD ).

We also watched some live DVD of some bands we like and a lot of episodes of “Supernatural”. Such a cool serie!!

Oh and also that week my bro got his degree in informatics engineering, so we went to his academic defence and assisted at the proclamation. It was kinda exciting and my parents were so happy and proud. We went out to dinner that evening and then the following day Maria Lucia, my family and I got on the car and went to Torre del Greco again: my parents had organized a party for my bro in order to celebrate properly with all the family. We went in a pub and ate a lot of good things. I made a banner for my bro and I brought him a hard-hat as a present XD ."

We really had fun (as you can see XD ).

Dir en grey.. arigatou!

First of all.. Dir en grey live was great!!!! There were a lot of people and we were pressed in the club like sardines, but hey, it was definitely worth it!!
Kyo sang greatly.. I was a bit worried since he fucked up his throat few months ago and generally he sings out of tune a lot but, nothing, he did nothing wrong, he was just great. He smiled at us and rocked us like nothing else. I've never danced/singed/screamed/jumped so much in my life. I was in the 3th or 4th row, just in front of Toshiya, so I had a great visual of him, Kaoru, Shinya and Kyo. I saw Die through the screen of a very tall girl's camera XD.
After the break for the encore Toshiya came out with a bottle of beer, he took a sip and then he give the bottle to us, he kept doing amused faces during the live and he laughed a lot. Kao instead was so serious.. he just smiled a bit and when he threw his picks at us he was laughing so cutely.
OMG the most funny thing was when Kyo got down from his little stage for a moment... I thought he was gone O_O.. he's so short!
The only thin I didn't like AT ALL was that they didn't even said "thank you" to us.. neither in italian, english or japanese.. nothig.. it was sad D: Anyway the live was so intense and ..great, simply great!

Changing the topic.. I bought a bass! Here it is..

He's beautiful, don't you think?? Basso san! (with my messy room in the background and the glittered converse under the desk XD ).
I've began with playing U2's song.. Aaaah Adam Clayton really stole his salary!! XD just joking, but I noticed that some of his riff are really simple. Currently I'm learning "Desire" and "Exit". "Vertigo"'ll come next.

Hum what else?
My grandmother give a sewing machine to me as a present! After finishing my exams I'll go to her place for a week and she'll teach me how to use it.. so my fashion project goes on *\(^O^)/*
Yeah!!

Fuck off you unpleasant old man >_<..

So something "funny" happened to me today. I go to study to the library in the morning and it's pretty far away from home, so to come back I need to take the bus (since my bike is ko -____-'' ). Today I had to buy the ticket as usual, so I went into 2 different newspaper kiosks, but they run out of them (WTF!!), so I entered in a tobacconist's to buy the stupid ticket.
Anyway behind the counter there was an old man who was waiting on another lady. So I stayed behind and waited for my turn. When he finished with the woman I stepped forward and he looked at me.. I greeted as the polite girl I am and when he saw my bright magenta hair he glared at them and lowered his eyes. I asked for the ticket and what did he do???? he fucking ignored me. He was pretending to read something, considering that every 2 sec his eyes darted at my hair. I asked again for my ticket and he give it to me without a word, he just kept looking at my hair. I payed it and turned around to leave, saying goodbye. He didn't even greeted back. What a
rude!!

But actually I went out of there laughing.. I love to scare people with my hair XD Too much maybe!!

Can't wait to see Dir en grey *dances*
