DIY coupon book

Eccomi, come promesso, con la prima delle idee già anticipate martedì: il coupon book.

Per prima cosa ho fatto un po’ di ricerche per trovare il printable adatto. Essendo un regalo di compleanno per un ragazzo me ne serviva uno sobrio e semplice. Per fortuna ho trovato questo sul blog Kind over matter. Perfetto!

L’ho un po’ adattato visto che non mi serviva la copertina e volevo stamparne il più possibile su un foglio solo, quindi ho messo 3 coupon per pagina. Potete trovare direttamente la mia versione qui.

Buongiorno a tutte!
Stamattina ascoltando la puntata “Mondo blog - parte 1” di “Musical e vecchi merletti” (che devo ancora finire tra l’altro, ma lo studio chiama) ho avuto un’epifania. Mi sono accorta che siamo così impegnate a trattare i nostri argomenti creativi che non rimane molto spazio per fare amicizia. Almeno per me è così, sarà anche che sono nuova nel blogging all’italiana.

Comunque non so nulla di tutte voi che seguo e di cui ammiro doti e creazioni. Nè di dove siete, che lavoro fate, magari siamo vicine di casa e neanche lo sappiamo.

Per questo ho pensato di creare una piccola iniziativa, che spero apprezzerete.
L’idea è quella di proporre una lista di domande (non invasive magari) per conoscerci meglio a cui tutte le partecipanti dovrenno rispondere (la lista può essere ampliata con domande da voi suggerite naturalmente). In cambio della vostra partecipazione pensavo di fare un po’ di pubblicità a voi e al vostro blog con un sommario o altra modalità da decidere.

My my, two weeks of no posting and it's June already. Finally I can feel the summer coming, yay!
But before celebrating and relaxing there is the stupid summer session of countless exams to sit for. A bit less yay >_>
Anyway, I'm not here to complain, I sat for 3 already and now I've a free week so.. break!!
And I'm here with more pictures for you :D

   

I made another silly drawing on my notebook to celebrate the beginning of the new month!
And look how sparkly my new gold-flakes nail polish is 8D I used it a couple of times with black and purple base, it wins!
It was a beautiful sunny day when I went to uni last week to take the first exam, so while walking through the park to go to the station I took that photo.. not bad.

Talking about photography I stumbled upon this shoots, Alice themed. I love this Queen of Hearts and the card girl, hair and outfit, it's kinda sexy >:D

Let's talk about more crafty things now! Do you remember my boxy leather bag?

This one! I finally decided what to do, even if I'm taking my time with the execution XD.. I'm doing it step by monthly step..
This is the it's new face, 2/3 done!

 

Wiii, sparkly!! 8D I like but I feel like something is missing. I didn't want to rush it so I began to use the bag like this, waiting for inspiration to come. And guess what, it did!
I remembered this picture I saw in a magazine ages ago:

Planning a planner

So! I desperately need a planner. The situation right now is this:

I have a weekly planner (the yellow one); a daily diary (nice photos, isn't it? *--* ) and a pretty notebook to write down all the craft-ralated things. ARGH!!! Definitely too much stuff to carry around.
I must say I found the weekly planner very handy, even if there isn't much space to write. On the other hand the daily diary offers me the space I need but doesn't let me have a decent view of my weekly commitments. In addiction I neglect to write a proper to-do list and the things that need to be done lay forgotten between the pages of the diary. What a mess!!
Anyway this dairy is about to finish, it has just a couple of months left, so before buying a new one I need an exact idea of what I want.
I'm also considering making it by myself, maybe assembling all the pieces in a binder.. even if this way it'll be huge.. hum I don't know!!! Anyway I "drew" some drafts:

Monday, nasty monday

I officially hate mondays!
After a wonderful week end, spent with my loved one reading, playing the bass, skating (we went skating, it was sooo cool!!! 8D ) and eating with friends (Alice.. ahehm.. XD ) we had the wonderful news of a temporary business transfer >_>
He'll be gone, next month, after Easter holidays, just for a couple of weeks, but still D: Hopefully in the same period I'll be away too, since my grandma wanted a helper for a little cruise she'll go on with her sister. Now I'm glad I accepted to keep her company..
Anyway.. I'm not here to complain, it's just that the news put me in a bad mood and I decided to finally began a project I'm procastinating since weeks.. just to raise my spirits.

So, I bought this bag for 5€ at the market.

I love it cause it reminds me of those Japanese school bags that I like soo much. BUT! I can't go aroung carrying a bag with Betty Boop dressed as Wonder woman (WTF!! XD ), so I bought some black spray paint..

..and covered the drawing. Now my problem is: what should I do with this awesome black canvas??
I was thinking about spray painting a quote (something nerdy) with a stencil in a neon colour, or maybe I'd make a drawing.. argh, I don't know!! Help, anyone??

Also I need some kawaii-food patterned paper to complete my recipe binder. Does anyone know some nice online shops where I'd find it? Google doesn't help me here XD

Blogging news

I've reached expansive aims .__.
As you can see I changed the layout, updated the pages on the blog and I linked my tutorials on my favourite crafty blogs. I'd like to give a chance to me and to my blog to grow and offer to whoever cares to read something special and orginal (hopefully).
So I'd like to give you a little preview of the 3 principals news that are about to make their apprearence on Rock 'n Roll stops the traffic. Drumrolls, please!

No.1
"DIY from head to toe" serie. Weekly posts, fashion related tutorials to dress yourself from head to toe, diy-ly :D I'd like to make something similar for home related crafts too.. we'll see.

No.2
I'll add a "Give it a try" session in the tutorial page to show you all the tutorials writter by other crafters and used by me for my own projects.

No.3
I noticed I've a lot of fashion magazine pages in my collection that I took from the net. They're full of very lovely outfit and it's a pity to leave them unused in my folders, so I thought I'd share. Maybe they'll be inspire the project of your life 8D

I'd also like to resume the photography posting. I kinda miss it..

New project and more pins!

Saturday means morning chores at my place. And this means that yestarday I spent few hours trying to tidy up my room too.

I was feeling like a change so I decided that I wanted to throw away few things that I don't use anymore to gain more space.

I began with the lower shelf of my desk and, after a fair fight with huge clouds of dust, I succeded in putting some order:

Now I've to take care of the desk though. The things is that I've a lot of stationery that I don't use because I totally forget I own it: stickers, memo sheets, letter sets and so on.. I need something to store everything, to keep them close and organized.

I made some research and I found some ideas!

New hobby and new pins

Well, mum is very busy with work lately and she enthrusted me the cooking duty.
After the first few days, cooking the same stuff, I decided to upgrade a bit! I began to check cooking sites for ideas and recipes and since now I tried a fair number of new, different recipes.
I'm quite proud of my work, even if it's not too elaborated stuff I like making it (and eating it most of all!). I found it unbelievably relaxing. Mixing the ingredients, sniffing all the nice smells, listening to the pots' bubbling.. this winter I bet I'll enjoy the warmth of the kitchen too (now it's still too hot to appreciate it).
Since I like asian cooking I made myself some maki!

They're vegetarian, I put inside carrots, cucumbers and an omelette! Yummy!
I also made some yakisoba! I forgot to take a picture though, they're very tasty I think I'll cook them again very soon!

Few days ago I proposed to a fiend to go to the park to make a little pic nic.. with a twist!! Since she likes asain food as much as I do I asked her if it was ok to eat instant ramen and buy some ravioli to the chinese take away nearby. She accepted gladly the idea so we did it!!
These are our location and our lunch!

The same day I had the first volley training of the year.. ravioli and jumping don't go along very well, believe me! I survived though and it was worth it after all.

Last thing I'd like to share my recent pins on pinterest. I found so much inspiring stuff I can't help but make pins on pins. I need to go back to crafting soon!

Hope you don't mind if I share a bit of my week

"Hi girls!
As said in the title I hope you don't mind if I share few recent things with you. It's been a strange week, few things happened that had different effects on me.. be patient with my ramblings, please!

First of all I did an exam on Thursday, it was about marketing, that's one of my favourite subjects.
I had to do this test with the silliest of the methods: the teacher dictated to us the first question and we had 20 minutes to answer, then she'd dictate the second and give us 20 minutes to answer and then the third and after 20 minutes we had to hand our test in. Crazy! Also because they are very generic question, like "discuss the packaging theme" (.. err WTH!!) and at the end you don't even have the time to re-read what you wrote.
Anyway I did it and after my 20 minutes ride by train to go back home I met with a friend to make some grocery shopping. We both love Asian food, so, since she works close to my place, we met once a week to have lunch together. Look :D

There are ramen packages, Ravioli, spring rolls and chips. Yum!!

The following day then I had a very nice surprise: my mum works in a school that has fashion classes and they're doing stocktaking. Apparently they had to threw away stuff that is in very good condition, so she brought me a tailor's dummy.. aaah I'm so happy!! She brought me some books too that teachers use during classes and they're simply amazing, all those fascinating drawings of dresses and clothes.. I'd take some pictures to show you. I can barely hide the excitement!

Oh I need a name for this lady now, any suggestions?

It's like a source of inspiration, like I need to use it! I already have few ideas: a summer pyjamas from old bad sheets, a lace vest and few reconstruction.. I'll post some pics when I'm done and I really can't wait to get to work! Also because.. I was about to spend some money on a website to buy me few summer things, but the shipping costs were too much and I decided that I'd try to make them myself. Mh! I think I'm putting myself into something too big for me, but I'll try anyway!"

Bracelets Display/Organizer Tutorial & a swap

Such a full week! But I managed to finish this organizer and make a little tutorial.
My bracelets were always all messy and tangled together, I didn't even know the stuff I had, so I came up with this system to make some order and finally use some of my jewelry xD I got inspired from this "old belt to bag holder" tutorial from Bored and crafty I saw months ago. Hope this'll be useful! :D

..I mean, my plan for the wardrobe renewal (I'm making a lace vest by the way, it's almost done!) has just expanded to accessories too now :D
I went shopping (regular shopping this time) with a friend and I bought this:

Then we went to a shop called Bijou Brigitte.. they have all kind of jewelry and wherever I turned there was INSPIRATION blinking at me from every corner. I saw a long necklace with a compass and another with a carousel.. just aww! And I discovered my passion for long, simple necklaces:

I went home and browsed their site and find so much awesome stuff.. I felt so inspired by the maritime line, I want to make myself some hair accessories and some jewelry that fit with this theme, so I'm hunting whatever can come handy for this purpose.
I'm crazy. Really, I know, but look:

I also want to make a decent jewelry storage.. I've one already for my earrings but my bracelets and necklaces are still hidden and all tangled together D:
